Research from our partners at the Chemical Upcycling of Waste Plastics and the University of Wisconsin-Madison engineers have developed an innovative method to eliminate stubborn yellow pigments from recycled plastic, significantly boosting its market value. The report states that “the advance makes recycled plastic more commercially appealing—increasing its market value and moving the industry closer to “closing the loop” for recycled plastic.”
